A true artist at heart, Diego Chas was born in Argentina and moved to Mexico City in 2005 to study at the Academy of Visual Arts. He fell in love with the vibrant world of fashion and editorial photography, working on both sides of the camera for over a decade. In 2015, Diego turned his passion into a reality by moving to Puerto Vallarta and launching a bespoke wedding photography company that puts clients first.
Diego believes that every couple has a unique story to tell, and he’s committed to capturing the heart of each moment. He and his team approach every wedding with fresh eyes, understanding that no two celebrations are alike. Diego’s ability to capture candid moments creates images that are genuine and timeless. Diego’s signature style combines the softness, organic beauty, and classic elegance of film photography.
Meet Taylor
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A global citizen with a diverse background, Taylor Wade was born in Canada and raised in various countries, gaining a unique perspective on life and love. She earned her bachelor’s degree in International Business and Spanish while co-founding a high-end matchmaking company in 2002. When Taylor moved to Mexico in 2017, she joined forces with Diego Chas to create Chas Studios.
Taylor is deeply involved in every step of the creative process, from the initial consultation to the delivery of the final photos. Diego and Taylor share a commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for each couple they work with, and as an engaged couple themselves, they understand the intricacies of planning a wedding firsthand!
Meet Gabriel
VIDEOGRAPHER
Argentinian-born Gabriel Silva discovered his passion for videography when he moved to Mexico City in 2009. His career in commercial video production and advertising took him to 14 different countries, exposing him to a rich tapestry of cultures. He met Diego Chas soon after arriving and formed a lasting friendship and partnership that has spanned more than 13 years.
In 2022, Gabriel relocated to Puerto Vallarta to become Chas Studios’s in-house videographer. He is a creative, detail-oriented, and driven professional who is always seeking new ways to grow and learn. When he’s not behind the camera, Gabriel can be found training for marathons, rock climbing, or exploring the creative process in his work. His commitment to self-improvement and growth is a testament to the genuine, insightful, and friendly spirit of the Chas Studios team.
Meet Cris
PHOTOGRAPHER
With over 13 years in the business, Cris was born in Mexico City and has lived in Puerto Vallarta for the past 22 years. She’s a proud “pata salada” who enjoys the stunning surroundings of her adopted home. Her background includes a degree in Multimedia Communication from the Universidad de Guadalajara, which she earned in 2005. She started her career as a Graphic Designer for Vidanta Group before realizing her true passion was photographing families and children.
As a mom to an adorable baby boy, she knows just how important it is to cherish every memory. She’s excited to help you preserve your most meaningful moments with a genuine, heartfelt approach that reflects the true essence of your story.
